Acorn & Oak Childcare LLC (“Acorn & Oak,” “we,” “us”) respects your family’s privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, forms, text messages and emails, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you request a tour, join our waitlist, sign an agreement or contact us, we collect details such as parent or guardian names, phone numbers and email addresses, your child’s name and age or due date, and anything you choose to tell us in a message.
- Agreements and payments. When you sign a waitlist agreement or pay a deposit or invoice, we keep a record of the signed document and the payment. Card and bank details are handled by our secure payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
- Website information. Like most websites, ours may collect basic technical information, such as your browser type and the pages you visit, through cookies or similar tools that help the site work and help us understand how it is used.
How we use your information
- To respond to your questions and schedule tours
- To manage our waitlist and contact you when a spot opens
- To send waitlist agreements, invoices, receipts and reminders
- To communicate with you about enrollment and our program
- To meet our legal and licensing obligations, including Georgia DECAL requirements
Text messages
If you check a consent box on one of our forms, we may send you text messages. Non-marketing texts relate to your childcare inquiry, tour or waitlist request. If you separately agree to marketing texts, we may also send occasional updates and offers. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third parties. Information may be shared only with the service providers that help us deliver our messages.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only:
- With trusted service providers that help us run our business, such as our customer communication and scheduling platform, electronic signature service, payment processor and website host, and only so they can perform those services for us
- When required by law, by our childcare licensing agency or to protect the safety of the children in our care
Children’s information
Information about children is provided to us by their parents or guardians. Our website is meant for adults and is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
How we protect and keep information
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. We keep it for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law or our licensing rules require.
Your choices
- You may ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, subject to records we must keep by law.
- You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any marketing email.
- You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
